Silica Gel Breather
Silica Gel Breathers are moisture-control devices designed to protect transformers and other equipment by preventing moisture and dust from entering through the breathing air. Larger silica gel sizes such as 1–2, 3–4, and 5–8 mesh are commonly used in breathers, where indicating silica gel changes color as it absorbs moisture, allowing the saturation level to be easily monitored.
Available in Clear View and Aluminum Body designs, the breathers can be supplied with different body dimensions and thread or flange connections according to requirements. The silica gel can be regenerated by heating at approximately 150°C for about 2 hours, or until the indicating color returns to blue.
